Torre Varano (Campania)




Surrounded by a hilly landscape framed by vineyards and olive groves, born in 2003, the Azienda Agricola Torre Varano in a sign of a strong secular tradition peasant. A land of extraordinary wine attitudes. Five varieties of grapes grown Aglianico, Falanghina, Greco, Fiano and Coda di Volpe of ancient origins that have spread for some time in Taburno, which today express the best of their potential, and they have found congenial climate and soils.

A farmers family with a passion for the vineyards and wines, many sacrifices, the perfect synergy between land art of the cellar and man, the right balance between innovation and tradition, have allowed us to realize the dream of being able to present fairly the great Taburno wine tradition. The human factor fielded by the family D’Occhio is entirely spent on enhancing the territory and cultivars.

The company covers an area of ​​14 hectares, between the towns of Torrecuso and Ponte, of which 12 occupied with vineyards facing south / east at an altitude of 350 meters above sea level, all areas within the Taburno DOCG and DOP Sannio. Hence the naturalness of the production process, rather than a constraint to be respected, it is the medium that allows you to enhance the recognition of the wines with the knowledge that the quality of wine is born in the vineyard, the vines are addressed scrupulous care and attention following the method of struggle integrated, aimed at finding the best solutions while fully respecting environmental balances.
